My name is Francisco and this is my homepage, my digital hub as I like to call it. Here, I try to gather some of the contents where I find interest. I love science and technology, to find great ideas that can make our life better and to turn them into reality, to learn more about myself and what surrounds me.
Since early age, I developed a very close connection with computers that still makes a significant part of my life. During my life, after all the time invested, all the problems found and all mistakes committed, my understanding of the way computers work has grown just as my thirst for more knowledge. I'm interested in almost all computer related subjects but the research for both offensive and defensive security techniques, is a passion to me. I can see artistic merit in the best reverse engineering sessions, poetry in programming codes, a lot of a martial art in the best hacking sessions. For those of you curious about technical details, let's just say, without getting too much noise, that I like penguins, snakes, gnus, blowfishes and, of course, apples. Oh, and there is nothing wrong with doors and windows.
While I can work as a team and enjoy it, my social side is very weak. I definitely wouldn't consider myself as a social animal. I don't have a good relationship with the common attitude of people that live their lives as participants, people that don't try to improve their skills, that feel complete just by showing up on work on time, working a bunch of hours and return home. I need more than participation and more than trying to be different just like everyone else. I admire genuine people to which I can truly talk to. If you want to piss me off, consider telling me how to think by invoking what does the mass and its gossip have to say about something. I do digest all food for thinking I can find and develop my own vision of things around me more than blindly agreeing on everything for social "integration" .
I'm not a religious person, I believe in logic, cause-effect relations, science as a method and the unknown for all the questions that we still don't know the answer. I don't need to replace what we don't know with supernatural stories or easy answers to feel better. I like to see the big picture but also to be able to drill down on things, breaking its complexity into smaller chunks until I get the fundamental principles that make things as they are. With time and effort, part of the unknown may be uncovered using concepts we already know just by unequivocally exposing those principles laying behind. Maybe other parts require new ways of thinking or even a revolution in our mind sets and maybe that could involve religious beliefs. Notice, that I have nothing against religion and I won't take a second to believe in it as I find enough sustainability.
I'm inspired by giants like Bill Hicks, A. Einstein, Steve Jobs, Beethoven, Linus Torvals, Ayrton Senna, Elvis Presley and José Mourinho. It's not just the dimension of their achievements but specially their attitude. These and others like them, stood higher to see things before their time, never tolerated anything less than winning, always questioned assumed limits and because of that many times crossed boundaries of the possible. This made them legends, immortals and a source of inspiration to me.
